ABOUT US
Kia ora my name’s Shante (pronounced Shon-tay). I'm 26 years old and I'm a self-proclaimed netball enthusiast. My business partner is my Dad Carlos who is a Musician and Father of 5 (including me). We are based in Auckland, New Zealand, and have a burning desire to make positive changes within our lives, our family's lives, and our community.
Periods have always been a struggle for me growing up. As an older sister, I feel it's my responsibility to make sure my sisters have a better experience than I did.
My Dad cares for his 4 children (my siblings) and knows he needs to be prepared to have puberty conversations and support them where he can.
Together we are on a mission to encourage stigma-free conversations about periods. We hope to encourage everyone to take part in learning and growing together.
It's really important to us that everyone has access to sustainable and affordable period care which is why we are so proud to partner with The Period Place.
We know that puberty is a mind field to navigate as a young teen. We hope to remove some of those hurdles by providing comfortable & sustainable period-proof underwear that anyone can feel confident wearing.
